About the FEM Secretariat

The Common Secretariat for Inspection and Energy Labelling, the FEM Secretariat was established on January 1st, 2006. The objective of the FEM Secretariat is to develop and streamline the administration of the house inspection system.

The FEM Secretariat consists of a consortium formed of the Danish Technological Institute and the Danish Byggecentrum. The consortium handles all activities of the FEM Secretariat on behalf of the Commerce and Building Agency.

The Commerce and Building Agency is responsible for the house inspection system, the purpose of which is to protect the consumers in connection with purchase and sale of real property.
